The 5 habits people living a fun life have that you don’t

but it’s not too late to start

Some people seem to have a healthy grasp on their lives, while others walk around frustrated, sighing, rushing through their day, not able to fit the life they want into the hours in their day. What’s happening? What do those rockstar life livers know that others don’t? Well, it’s simple, but apparently very complicated too.

They answer yes or no questions, truthfully

Yep. It’s not about saying “no”  to more or “yes” to less, it’s just about knowing the answer you want to give and just giving it. What does that mean? Give the answer that makes you feel at peace with yourself-the one that you won’t regret the second it eeks past your lips. Give the answer that doesn't make you feel like you just got cornered, but rather makes you feel free.

They focus on their own sandbox

There’s no reason to look at what anyone else has going on, what they’re doing, what they’ve done, or what they own. People that live life on their terms live the phrase “you do you”. They focus on their goals, what matters to them, and by doing that, they have time for the things that matter to them, and simply don’t worry about things that don’t. No matter who asks them, no matter who guilt trips them. No means no.

They don’t assume anything

People that over schedule and become frustrated at their lack of free time for self-fulfilling activities, assume that declining an invitation, or not going to a “thing” will offend someone. That assumption fills many days on their calendar with things they hate or dread, or at the very least with something they’d rather not be doing. Rockstars don’t worry or assume anything about their answer, freeing up their mind for planning their amazing life.

They value their own time

When people respect their own time and appreciate the value of this one precious life they’re given, you can bet they aren’t squabbling it away on social media, having small talk, or doing things they don’t enjoy. Having a healthy respect for yourself and recognizing that you deserve to do the things you want to do, will keep you living a life you love.

They aren’t driven by guilt

Family obligations, holidays, and traditions are usually sources of guilt and anguish for many people. This isn’t to say rockstars just ignore tradition or disregard family, but if that family event  lands on a day that coincides with something else, guilt doesn’t drive them to their decision. They may end up going to the family event once they evaluate, but it’s because they chose to do so. Guilt is not a reason for them to do anything. They believe life is too short.

We can all learn a little something from these fulfilled souls, out there living their glorious lives. Simply put, if you want to live a rockstar life full of things you love and almost nothing you don’t, make your own choices, don’t burden yourself with assumptions or unnecessary guilt, and always put a high value on what you do with your precious time.

Now that’s not so hard, is it?
